Rainbow Trout Oil Pastel Painting — Original & Prints

A rainbow trout in oil pastel, drawn with quick, loose strokes and left that way on purpose. The back runs from deep forest green into olive and yellow-green, with a hot pink and red stripe cutting down the lateral line and fading into a pale blue belly. Black spots scatter across the back, dorsal fin, and tail. The gill plate is worked in layered magenta, red, and deep purple, and the fins are warm sand and rust with white highlights. Plenty of the strokes show individually - this one has energy in it.

Original: (8.5x11")  one-of-a-kind oil pastel on 8.5x11 paper, signed on the front. This is the actual piece, texture and all. 

Archival print: printed in-house with pigment ink on 140lb acid-free cold-press watercolor paper. Slight tooth to the paper, rich color, made to last.

Standard print: reproduction on smooth photo paper. Same image, everyday-friendly price.
